Pendulum ’g’ by free fall method

Model No: AGN-131
This apparatus is designed to measure the acceleration due to gravity (g) using the free fall method. It includes an electronic timer unit with four 4 mm sockets—two for sensors (gates) and two for the solenoid. A toggle switch controls the release and catch of a steel ball. The heavy retort stand supports two base boards: one holds the solenoid with banana sockets, which magnetically holds the steel ball when the switch is on 'Catch'. When switched to 'Release', the solenoid deactivates, dropping the ball onto a steel base below. The timer records the fall time accurately.
  • Electronic Timer Unit: Equipped with four 4 mm sockets for gates and solenoid connections.
  • Toggle Switch: Controls magnetic release and catch of the steel ball.
  • Heavy Retort Stand: Provides sturdy support for the apparatus.
  • Solenoid Holding Base (149x97x113 mm): Generates magnetic field to hold the steel ball securely.
  • Steel Base Plate (115x60x2 mm): Serves as the impact surface for the falling ball.
