It is an electrical instrument used for the measurement of unknown capacitance and the dissipation factor of capacitors. It operates using an AC source and provides accurate results through a null detection method. The instrument is mounted in a durable teakwood case with a neatly laid out circuit diagram for easy understanding and practical use.- AC Source: Built-in sine wave signal of 1 kHz with amplitude indication lamp on a bakelite board; two sockets provided for AC signal output.
- Null Detector: In-built digital null detector for detecting small AC signals.
- Circuit Layout: Well-spread diagram on the board with 4 mm sockets for convenient connections and clear understanding.
- Unknown Capacitors: Supplied with five unknown capacitor values for measurement practice.
- Resistances (R1, R2): Ratio dials with steps of 1 Ω, 10 Ω, 100 Ω, and 1000 Ω.
- r (Resistance): Decade dial of ×1 Ω.
- C1 (Capacitance): Two decade dials of ×0.001 µF & ×0.01 µF.
- C2 (Capacitance): Internally fixed capacitor of 0.001 µF.
- Construction: Strong teakwood case ensuring durability and safe handling.
