U.V. Cabinet is a compact, self-contained unit designed for safe and accurate visualization of fluorescent materials such as thin-layer chromatograms (TLCs) under UV light. Constructed from durable mild steel sheet with powder-coated finish, it provides a glare-free, enclosed workspace ideal for laboratory use.
Construction & Design:
  • Made of powder-coated mild steel sheet for durability and corrosion resistance.
  • Compact footprint with a base measuring 370 × 300 mm (internal) to minimize lab space usage.
  • Enclosed viewing area blocks ambient light interference, ensuring clarity during inspection.
Illumination:
  • Equipped with three integrated light sources:
    • Long-wave UV tube (365 nm) – For general fluorescent visualization.
    • Short-wave UV tube (254 nm) – For observing strong UV fluorescence.
    • Fluorescent white light tube – For visual inspection in normal light conditions.
  • Control switches mounted on top of the unit allow easy and independent operation of each tube.
Eye Protection & Safety:
  • Fitted with a UV-blocking glass filter in the viewing window to protect eyes from harmful short-wave UV radiation.
  • Self-contained design minimizes UV exposure and enhances user safety.
Power Supply:
  • Operates on standard 220/230 Volt A.C., 50 Hz supply.
  • Supplied with 3 UV/fluorescent tubes, pre-installed and ready for use.
